That is true.

We could have Neuer in nets next season some still wouldn't be happy.

Having said that. I don't mind a keeper making mistakes. They all do. What I do mind is the absolutely mental weird things our last 3 keepers seem to do.

I just want a normal keeper!
Is it the way they are trained all of them in my day a keeper would never hesitate to push the ball out for a corner watch them the push it back into the danger area!

Interesting point about the training. But as it's been 3 different goalkeeping coaches now at least, it probably isn't that.

It's most Prem keepers, that City Kerr looks to short reminds me of Jim MacDonagh he was a calamity keeper for the blues along with David Lawson - Dai Davis - Richard Wright - Steve Simerson some costing top money - good ones - Westy Rankin good no 2 George Wood - Nigel Matyn - big Nev (world class)!

Fumed at him for the penalty at the game, but with hindsight he was let down by the defence and I think he was trying to prevent the player back heeling it . Still clumsy like. Was more concerned with his tendency to fumble crosses occasionally to be honest. Overall I agree with Nev's assessment of him as 'decent' not great. In the end it depends what our aims are ,if we're content with being best of the rest, he'll do in lieu of anyone better. But if we want to push on I think we need a better quality keeper. Sad because I like the lad and his attitude.
Maybe he can surprise us next season?

Unfortunately he always has a 'mistake in him'. Look at his performance at anfield and contrast it with his display at old Trafford. All keepers produce great saves, it those keepers that minimise their mistakes,is what separate the great ones from the good ones.

One thing I will say is that Everton fans do not give keepers any leeway. If you put any premier league keeper in goal for us we'd probably moan about them most games.
Nah we just know the difference between a top notch one and a bang average one.

Still a very solid keeper, can count the number of clangers he's made this season on one hand. Hart makes more mistakes, high profile ones at that, but I bet the same people slating Joel would be happy signing Hart. Genuinely don't reckon the likes of Forster are any better. Speaking of which, hardly covered himself in glory based on City's 3 goals on MOTD.

This! Missing a cross or coming out at the wrong time, fine...but not -tackling a player in the box, forgetting to dive or not knowing where your goal is!

There aren't many great goalies around to be honest. On the whole Joel's done well this season, especially considering the quality of protection offered by his central defenders at times.

By all means go out for Pickford or Schmeichel or whatever but they all make errors.
