He would be a fantastic #2. Hart/Schmeichel/Pickford really aren't that much better than him. It's really surprising that people think those are 'the answer'.

Good joke he's a clown keeper who would get lit up like a Christmas tree in my league. He couldnt stop as many shots as I do. I play in this league because it's great practice. Robles is on a hiding to nothing - when he signed he was seen as 'underwhelming', he's a Martinez Wigan signing and he was primarily seen as back up.
To make the step up to first team regular was always going to be difficult...not because he's poor but because he didn't sign for big bucks and due to the above history.
Personally I think he has been the most consistent keeper we've had for a few years, a big improvement on Howard and, despite the odd error(same as every keeper) he's certainly as good as the Pickfords/Schmeichels being mentioned - not in the De Gea/Courtois league - but neither are we...yet

My take on this is I'd much rather have Cortois, DeGea, Lloris or Forster, but I wouldn't swap him for Guardiola's pet project.
He's still young for a keeper. He's mostly solid & pulls off some great saves. Yes, he looks like he's got a mistake a game in him (sometimes two), but look at DeGea when he arrived at ManU.
David Seaman went through bad patches. Joe Hart is better, but older & still prone to brain farts.
I trust Koeman & his team to know potential when they see it (or not). I don't see Schmeicel or Hart as a significant step up. Maybe there's a top keeper somewhere, over 35 & available, who could come in next season. Give Robles time to develop. I'd hate to bin him off & see him turn out like DeGea somewhere else.
