It was a hard watch to be fair but Stekelenburg was outstanding all game. And the peno saves were impressive.

Mate, look at what we are talking about. You said, jokingly, that he could have thrown his hat on the Man City pens. I said that they were more impressive saves than that.

That's all.

It has nothing to do with the 4-0 home win.

rather win 4-0 than have two pen saves and draw 1-1 in a game where we sat back - hence the fact it gives the the keeper a chance to shine with all the shots going in as I reiterated Stek had a decent start to the season!

4-0 at home was rare v them too!
We seem to have a total mentality at home of press hard score and play nice football - our four away wins all season says it all!
so why is there a massive thread on goalkeepers>??????

But you have to take into account the team he had in front of him.And in his first couple of seasons he wasn't the finished article.And as it stands this season Robles has won us more points than he's lost.Like all Evertonians I'd like us to have a world class keeper,but without CL in the modern game you don't get them.And as it stands there aren't that many about anyway.
