I'm not comparing him to Howard, though. I've already said I don't think Howard needs to start again for us. I'm comparing him to the theoretical goalkeeper we're going to sign this summer. A clean sheet against Newcastle is great, but it isn't anywhere near enough to convince me we don't still need to spend most of the summer's budget on bringing in a top goalkeeper.
Let's see him first then !!!!!

Just to point out;;

There was a moment yesterday where we weren't fully switched on and we got it out for a corner. Joel came off his line and screamed at all of them. We then looked much better defensively on the next corner. Howard just doesn't do that. Defenders should be scared of pissing off their keeper.

You just need to look at Southampton to see what a decent goalkeeper can do to a side. They have been terrible defensively all season without Forster. As soon as he returns they have gone about 5 games without conceding. Robles could've had a massive impact on our season if he had been trusted a bit more. Putting Howard straight back in after his injury last year was bobbys biggest mistake to date imo

So far this season, he's played four matches against Premier League clubs: Newcastle, Norwich, and Man City (twice). We've won two of those matches and conceded five goals. Let's hold off for a few matches before declaring our goalkeeping problems solved.

Yes lets hold off, but make note that four of those goals were against Manchester City, and that Norwich game he was sold down the river for me. (He did make an incredible save lets not forget late on). He's done enough to have the rest of the season to prove his worth.
