Joey Barton!

Leave out, he's been plenty indisiplined on the pitch, including as recently as last November when he punched Pederson.

Sure, maybe just maybe Moyes could straighten him out. I'll give him credit, he does seem to realise he has problems but psychologically i just don't think he can ever stop himself committing moments of madness whether drunk or sober. He seeked specialist help in 2005 but that didn't stop him.

He's too far gone and not that actually that good anyway, certainly not to risk buying him.

I think thats Bollox to be honest, regards pederson he's a sly ted he made sure Barton bumped into him,and Barton seen his arris!

Went after Oguchi Onyewu during practice..

I can't see anything on wikipedia about that incident so i'm assuming it wasn't as serious as one of the many many incedients on Bartons page.

But even if he did hit Onyewu i'd be much more recpetive to the thought of signing Ibrahimovic as its one incident committed by a world class player.

Not one of many repeated incidents by a decent player.

Barton is constantly doing this kind of **** and always will be.

You see heres the thing, its a dust up, who hasnt been in them, a few slaps get thrown it happens everywhere every night of the weekend only difference is this lad plays football. The fact that Paper (which will remain nameless) have a video of it tells you all you need to know about whats driving the agenda here.

Im not shocked or offended by that one little bit. I wonder would it have even gone to court etc if not for the paper, or the fact he is a PL footballer etc.

Like i say its all media labeling. Didnt Gerrard do something similar - but yet most clubs out there would want him and they didnt attach the same badboy profile to him. What about Rooney - every club out there would take him - and he goes of with brassers while his wife is pregnant at home, challenges fans to fights at Carrington online and shouts swear worlds down cameras, Tony Adams as well spent time in prison before becoming England captain.

Im not condoneing any of that or what Barton has done in the past but what i am saying is that peoples view of players are determined by the labels attached to them by the red tops and that maybe these identities arent an accurate holistic picture of who someone is. Personaly i dont care once hes ace at football.

Actually my views aren't affected by the media that severely, because i still think Gerard and Rooney are absolute tvvats. Not quite Barton on the scale of a-hole but both numpties all the same.

Mate, with respect, Ibrahimovic is a tool bag.. Your saying it's okay to have that "type" of personality as long as he's a world class player..

Which is fine, that's all I wanted to know.

Oh just the one. Repeatedly. And stubbed a cigar out in a youth players eye.

But thats only 2 violent assaults on teamates, not even double figures really is it.
All team mates fight it happens, just they dont always get into the press!
Barton has history so what? If he improves the Everton team which he would, get him in!

I'm a bit torn on this one. He was one of the best midfielders in the country this season and it would seem like Newcastle just want rid. We were once again the most fouled team in the league. He might help to give us a bit more grit. Plus we haven't really sorted out the right side of our midfield. Is he a reformed character? Would/could he behave himself? We loved it when Dunc threw Ince to the ground and Heitinga barged Cole. It would be double-standards to shun Barton for the same thing. Cantona and Di Canio were also forgiven for less. It's a toughie.

THIS IS NOW A WORSHIP ZLATAN THREAD

Cant find ibrahimovic incident on wiki so its not as serious oh come on lad ffs.
Constantly! so he's assaulted 2 team mates that makes it constantly?
I had a bevvy saturday then went for another on sunday does that make me an alcoholic?

Actually no i'm not.

As i said, there's a line in my opinion which would have to be crossed for me to not want a player at Everton.

I don't really know much about Ibrohimovic to be honest. But even if he is a tool he can be a tool if he is world class because there's a difference between being a tool and doing what Barton has, which goes wya beyong being a tool.

If Barton was world class i wouldn't want him here, and if Ibrahimovic had done exactly what Barton had done i wouldn't want him here.

But as i said , i dont know exactly what Ibrahimovic has done so its not really fair to discuss him the same as Barton.

In fact on here in the past people have said they don't want to sign certain players because they have a bad attitude, are troublemakers etc and ive been against that. Sometimes you have to have that type of player in order to get the truly top players cause they opften come hand in hand. team full of Mr nice guys needs some assholes. Hell Fellaini and Cahill have attitudes on the pitch and Heitinga has one off but they're fine cause they don't cross that line.

But Barton goes way beyond that.

A bit of common sense from billycopper. Lets give Barton the chance to shine at Goodison!

I can't find it so can't really make judgements on it can i, is it that hard for you to understand?

Constantly doing this kind of **** = not just assaulting teammates but teamates and civilians and generally causing trouble. So yeah, he is contantly doing **** which suggest he would do something similar here.
