Most football fans hate Chelsea and what they stand for. Don't let media opinion be confused with public opinion.
I live well outside the Everton catchment area, and everyone I've spoken to about it is on our side.
Are we about to be one of them!
You poor manIf only!
Bound to Bootle by blood, never had a say in the matter.
I read they had pitchforks, flaming torches and a rope already noosed at the end.
It's funny I only ever remember him playing for spurs
Who is he ?Everton's defensive coach mate
Who is he ?
to be honest I am pleased reaction isnt totally partisan as it makes it clearer there is a moral here beyond that. plenty of players from other clubs have backed Everton's position, they just seem to be ignored if they do. Carragher was excellent but it wasn't repeated again and again. Gray and Ratcliffe have been consistent in terms of their attitude to the game. Think Reidy is saying something similar to quite a few fans in that we may not be best keeping a player whose head has been turned. I don't agree with him at all in this case but think he has club's interest at heart. who knows he may be right. it is just an opinion in this case I thinkIt's disappointing that some of our ex legends don't back the club up like they should. Particularly as I view Reid as a proper legend in a way that Lineker and Gray never will be. The more often the likes of Reid and Ratcliffe do us down in the media, the less the fans will think of them.
I appreciate he's trying to be honest but when the whole media is anti-Everton at the moment, the least you'd expect is for those with links to the club to be supporting Kenwright and Martinez' decision.
Some of these people just can't seem to grasp that football is a competitive game where you don't just give in at the first sign of pressure to appease the so called big clubs. Clubs like Everton aren't here to be patronised by Chelsea no matter what the media try and tell us.
I want him in the next death poolAlan Brazil, ex Man U, Forest, now a presenter on Talksh*te.
Are we about to be one of them!
Venlafaxine is it?Trust me, the most of the vociferous are the Mancs - really speaks of double standards because whilst Chelsea are currently in the headlights let's face it if United (or City) were given any come on regarding Stones they would be doing exactly the same albeit, I would like to think, in a more professional and diplomatic manner. Let's face it, they all have form and would stand on their grannies to get a better view over the wall but denounce anyone else doing that i.e standing on THEIR own grannies, I mean, not United's or Cit...time for my medication!
