John Stones transfer saga

anyone remeber the ashley cole scenario....

They (Chelsea) have overstepped again.

Mark my words and mark them well. This is only just starting now.

I can say this. Chelsea are about to come under huge pressure over whats been happening the last few weeks.

Just keep watching.

You cannot have a club like Everton with a turnover over £140million

Having its players poached and/or media campaigns trying to turn their heads.

For every action there's an equal reaction.

You can't expect Martinez to sit there and see what's been happening happen.

There's going to be inevitable consequences

They will shut Chelsea down and give us their players and CL place

Roman feeling the pressure. The face is an actor, but armpits don't lie.

Brendan Rodgers has been collecting cheap houses, white teeth, new excuses and loose women whilst, over the park Roberto Martinez has been building up his phenomenal collection of precious Stones, brown shoes and other assorted collectors items:

A valuable Emerald bought on the cheap from an unsuspecting Irish bloke in a pub in Sligo: Seamus Coleman
A rough Diamond found in a mine in Wavertree: Ross Barkley
A shiny To-paz: Gerard Deulofeu
One Cracked Mug: Aiden McGeady
One Front Offside Bumper: Romelu Lukaku

and John.. which a dodgy Russian tried to prise from him last week.

Nothing is going to happen mate...

I went to the Liverpool International Music Festival this weekend and the Money Can't Buy You Stones song was being changed everywhere.

As was the Tony Hibbert song.

Had me in stitches!

Wondering what these mean from the Manager...

"We are going to take extra measures in every window from now on to protect players"

“John’s been put under massive, massive pressure. The transfer request was something he didn’t mean to do."

OK.....let me float one possible scenario to make sense of Bobby saying he "didn't mean to" put a request in, which on the face if it makes little sense.

The agent was trying to persuade John to hand a TR in and John was wavering....unsure what to do. Not unhappy staying with us but excited at the prospects of joining Chelsea and playing in the CL and tripling his dough.

Agent had his secretary type a transfer request letter up, he gets John, a very young and probably naive young chap, to sign it but assures him it will not be delivered to Bobby unless they decide to go nuclear and with John's full knowledge.

John thinks no more about it and the agent starts to panic as the club's resolute stance hardens as the days go by and John himself is playing well and there is no sign of a split between Bobby and John.

The agent would no doubt have been involved in meetings between his client and the Everton manager and can see that things aren't going as he hoped.

So the agent leaks news of the letter's existence to the Sundays last week and then, unbeknownst to John, he sends the letter to Bob on the Tuesday.

Plausible?

Or....just to throw it out there....the player wanted the move and was aware of all happenings maybe?
And this is just more el fluffo from El Roberto? :)

ok mate I'll buy tour house from you. presumably you would say no because you'd be homeless. is that am achievement that you didn't sell your house to me?

same principle. long term contract player and no need to sell so us turning Chelsea down was neither here nor there. keeping a mirallas who was contract down would have been more significant as either we sold or gave him a contract.

No buy i'm sure if you were a rich land developer, you would try to sweeten me up with all sorts of tempting offers. Same principles.
