To replace Stones and Mirallas like for like would cost eye watering money for players who simply would not come to Everton. We do not want to get dragged into a war of words with Chelsea.It will simply serve to keep the issue on the back pages and that kind of publicity we can do without.
The club has made it's position clear and if Chelsea make another bid, again , the detail of that will have to come from Chelsea.
Let them bid, we reject the bid and move on.
I think Chelsea probably realise by now the player will not be moving.

The agent will almost certainly have known about the bid and from that you could assume so would the player.

From this point on we can only guess what the player wants after all even when one comes out and says they aren't moving like Delphtransfers seem to follow pretty soon afterwards

Yes it did. That statement was the point at which United stopped bidding for baines and went exclusively for felaini. It also stopped the back pages being full of stories about it, which would have only been good for team morale.

Gone before start of the season. Just can't see us being able to hang onto him, once they come back with a proper bid.

The board will give in like they always do. Atleast the whiteshite and the redshite get over the odds for there players they sell. We are lucky to make the bare minimum, Rooney transfer a great example.
