John Stones transfer saga

True I guess. So £100m and we listen then. Coolio.

Two things, and these are both centered around the hypothetical of the club actively planning to sell Stones next summer.

1 - If you as an individual were going to invest a large sum of money, would you invest it in a 21-year old footballer, or would you choose to invest in a much safer commodity? Stones may represent a smaller risk than almost any 21-year old athlete in the world, but compared to anything else, it's still a massive gamble.

Mate if IRL I make a profit on an investment and want to buy a Ferrari with the proceeds I'd be very surprised if the Ferrari refused to park itself in my garage. Stop applying real world business logic to football. It's not real business.

Pique's only 28 mate.

But in a few years would have no issue with Stones going there for £78m.
would need another though i think to play with pique. that young CB they have barta is supposedly on the way out and vermalean/ mathieu aren't all that. don't think it'll happen like but i'd rather sell to barca down the line than another prem team

That was no accident or slip of the tongue. Twice he said that about 'big club' in quick succession.

Is that it, btw?...his big promised 'comeback' at Martinez for rightfully kicking his arse to the kerb?

Pathetic.

Sort him @davek

LETS SORT HIM the treacherous beaut

Sorry mate, don't agree. He's already come out on Twitter to praise Everton. Just think it was a slip of the tongue really.

I think you're being a bit OTT. I think if you printed out the list of things that have caused us to go downhill in the past 30 years, Distin would be so far down that list you'd run out of paper before you got to his name.

This makes me angry

Its the same person who did that who has called us small ?

I'd of booted him out the club day 1 if I'd of known what his attitude was really like.

This from the same one responsible for this story as well.

DISTIN should come out and apologise point blank. He's in no position to say anything about EFC. The worm.

Everton's Sylvain Distin cheated on blonde by posing as milkman
By ANI | ANI – Sun 30 Jun, 2013

London, June 30 (ANI): Everton footballer Sylvain Distin had a three-year fling with a blonde claiming to be a milkman, it has been revealed.

The footie ace later claimed that he was a professional tennis player and a cyclist, the Sun reported.

When trusting Katie Hulne saw a snap of the 45,000 pound-a-week French defender in his kit, he said that it was his twin.

And, when she finally discovered he had a long-term partner, he lied that they were only together for the sake of their daughter. (ANI)

Sylvain Distin's row with Everton fans could be a good thing.. if they channel that passion into the derby

The French defender hasn't been shy in discussing his 'conversation' with fans

Who Dist me? Sylvain in discussion with some travelling supporters
Sylvain Distin has had plenty to say on twitter about his 'conversation' with an Everton fan after Saturday's

Distin insists it wasn't , despite his exchange with the supporter looking very much like that.

He says he took exception to his commitment being questioned and mounted a strong defence of himself and his team-mates

"We as players were disappointed too....You might not believe that, but it's the truth," he tweeted.

He added, his patience clearly wearing thin: "I m 36. You r young and know it all so why don't you come and take my place????"

Distin knew exactly that that comment would stirr many blues up. He's pretty much nobody to me today. Like any other player who leaves everton for other team or gets the boot like he did.

Furious reading his comments. He knew exactly what he was doing there.

Bournemouth is his level. Was never good enough for Everton.

Howard clearly at fault. AGAIN.
state of Distin there. He wouldn't of had a hope in hell of catching him anyway but i fumed even more when his only reaction was to put his hands on his head, instead of at the very very least legging it back.

If there was ever a time i wanted an asteriod to hit earth, it was then. Right at the time Distin puts his hands on his head, the nobhead.
