John Stones transfer saga

Think % of profit tends to happen with more established players that are being sold for higher prices.

% of sale tends to happen with young players who haven't done much but potentially could go on to be worth loads.

As people have said though, in this case won't make much of a difference.

Still makes me laugh when I remember Southampton selling their Bale sell on clause back to Spurs for a few million and a rubbish keeper.

Makes sense, I think that's what happened with Adam Foreshaw, we got 50% of the sell on fee (that's was what was reported at the time)

EVERTON 'NOT SELLING STONES'

Some further developments concerning John Stones, with a topEverton official telling us this evening that they have "no intention" of selling the defender.

Sky sources understand the Toffees rejected a second bid from Chelsea this afternoon and the Premier League champions have apparently been told twice that the player is not for sale and is staying with Everton.

Sky sources " understand".

I expect the back pages tomorrow will still say something like, Mourinho will press ahead with Stones pursuit blah blah blah.

"Sky sources understand that Everton have no intention of letting Stones move on to better things to progress his career for the sake of England and intend to drag their heels in the hope of getting a ridiculous fee out of Chelsea".
