I think he'll stay. Chelsea spent £32m on Hazard, £35m on Diego Costa, £30m on Fabregas, £21m on Matic, £20m on Oscar. Doubt they overpay like City did for Sterling. Highest they'll go is probably in the Lukaku range of £28-30m.

He's stated yesterday that he is happy at Everton and his priority it to cement a regular starting spot this season. That's good enough for me.

he is more of an asset, i agree entirely. Have said before the window opened he was our biggest asset away from lukaku, but rom is completely not for sale currently.

i disagree about how we can cope though, McCarthy does a lot more than people appreciate, including myself. Stones is still learning the trade. Point is, would the team quality lower with another player like jimmy? Well name one player who we could buy who could do the same job with the same energy? (i actually couldnt name one)

and name a centre half who can stop the other team from getting a shot in.......yes stones is versitile but he is a defender at the end of the day and as we clearly are selling him at some point we may as well do it over the lynch pin of the team.
