John Stones transfer saga

He'll definitely be off.

Maybe not for the £20m but they will up it and it we will accept it as we're a selling club now. Stones has played less than 50 games for us and is a kid from Barnsley with an offer from the champions, London life and a six-figure weekly wage. Anyone with no existing long-term affiliation with Everton would be off and anyone who thinks not is kidding themselves.

Sad, but true.
He will be here for at least another season.
He may as well learn his trade in our 1st team and not chelski reserves.

Nar im not gonna be angry, as soon as I watched the lad play I knew we wouldnt keep him, we can tell our Grandkids we watched him play.

I enjoy your posts, but don't perpetuate this nonsense you quivering slice of ham hock...I'll have the whole board up against the wall if JFS went for anything less than £60M. In fact, the minimum is triggering Laporte's release clause and then swapping + an additional £25M.

Levy ain't got shiz on me...

You are right, an absolute disgrace. I should proof read my texts before pressing the "post" button. Then, on the other hand, maybe I won't bother. I'm revolting.
You're outrageous. That is the only descriptive word I'm prepared to use. #respect

Ive thought all Summer we would lose somebody from the "big 5" Coleman, Lukaku, Stones, Barkley and McCarthy, ive accepted it.

Not even arsed to be honest.

We simply cannot retain players of any quality. Sad, but true.

We are no longer a big club. We are a small club that feeds decent players to the top 4.
Chelsea tend to get who they want. 50million for Torres. Stones is English, young, talented has everything going for him. I pray we keep him, he's the future of our defense and would show we really do mean business on getting back to where we should be.

If he goes though we have to get an astronomical fee for him, up there in the Torres realm.

We all knew this would happen with him but it's up to the club now what they do. Keep going along the same trajectory as the Rooney sale - a taste of Europe but no success, being a feeder club to the "big" clubs. Or we keep him and build a genuinely good team that can last for years. There's no guarantee of success in doing that but losing Rooney was one of the worst if not the worst experiences I've had as a blue and if we want to win things we need to keep our best players.

I'm sorry but this 'we are a selling club' is utter nonsense. Name me a club that doesn't sell players?? Real Madrid perhaps but after that it's slim pickings. We've sold Rooney, Lescott & Fellaini for big money at times that were neccassary for different reasons. Chelsea sold Mata to Utd - who'd of seen that coming? Chelsea have sold players, Utd have, the [Poor language removed] have, Spurs have and so on. De Gea probably will leave Utd. Does that make them a selling club?! FFP means clubs have to balance books now days or find it hard to retain a player that has a bigger club on the radar. I don't want Stones sold, nor do I think he will be yet, but every club buys & sells players, not just Everton!
