It was a derisory bid. If he's smart he'll stay at Everton for another season. If we are tosh again this season, he has every right to leave. If he goes to Chelsea now, he won't develop. He needs to believe that he will be as good or better player at the end of this upcoming season. He'll have put in a decent shift at our club (maybe helped us win something) and his value will have risen. He seems like a level-headed lad (in contrast to Sterling for instance. What a brat). Ultimately, I think this is going to come down more to whether the board want to (read: have to) cash in now. And if they do, they'd be crazy to let him go for any less that 30 million. And even with that kind of money, we won't be able to replace him.
