Ive thought all Summer we would lose somebody from the "big 5" Coleman, Lukaku, Stones, Barkley and McCarthy, ive accepted it.

It was a derisory bid. If he's smart he'll stay at Everton for another season. If we are tosh again this season, he has every right to leave. If he goes to Chelsea now, he won't develop. He needs to believe that he will be as good or better player at the end of this upcoming season. He'll have put in a decent shift at our club (maybe helped us win something) and his value will have risen. He seems like a level-headed lad (in contrast to Sterling for instance. What a brat). Ultimately, I think this is going to come down more to whether the board want to (read: have to) cash in now. And if they do, they'd be crazy to let him go for any less that 30 million. And even with that kind of money, we won't be able to replace him.

How many of you can't wait until we no longer have to say. 'He should stay for another year'?
Yup. But what are the conditions that are going to allow that to happen? A new stadium which magically grows our game-attending supporter base? A run of consecutive years in the CL? A rich sugar daddy?

My point was. Stop being so small time, he should stay and become a club great for the next 15 years. Or is that not allowed, is it a prerequisite that we are only allowed a 'good thing' for so long, for as long as the media allow it, we are Everton and don't ever allow Kenwright and Elstone let you forget that.
