John Stones transfer saga

We could sell Stones for £35/40m in 5/6 years.

Any sale here, coinciding with a poor start to the season could really up the ante with fan pressure on the board.

If people want stones then he is off. Said all this the other week, Stones is our most valuable asset and top teams WILL want him.

that being said i want to chalk this to sky sports bollox making stories up to fill the air time and chelsea have not actually bid for him. Categorically he is the second most valuable player at the club

35 mill is his worth for my money, given his age and the fact he is a centre back. Not that in anyway we should sell him. Id say we would settle for 30.

Real wolrd figures IMO

I suspect this is no more than a statement of future intent, ie Chelsea putting a marker in the ground probably looking forward 12 months.

Stones will want a full season of first team football to ensure his England selection next summer, he's not guaranteed that at Chelsea for sure.

This is a club that spent £50m on Torres, Neiler. Behave.

Yep I think even those at the top know they have a gem on their hands that's worth 40m for starters in the current climate.

I seriously don't think he will leave, I would be surprised if he agitated for a move to either City, Utd or Chelsea imo.

John Stones dictates where his next club is, all the top english clubs will be after him and Chelsea are trying to jump the gun here. He seems like a very level headed kid and will likely have thought about this sort of thing before so I doubt there'll be any histrionics over this.

We'll do well when he's sold and it will be when we choose.
