John Stones transfer saga

There is no doubt that if he carries on the way he is at the moment he will move on to someone else.
If i was bobby give us 1/2 years see how it goes and by that time you can go to Barca or Real, go play in the sun Stonesy

John Stones dictates where his next club is, all the top english clubs will be after him and Chelsea are trying to jump the gun here. He seems like a very level headed kid and will likely have thought about this sort of thing before so I doubt there'll be any histrionics over this.

We'll do well when he's sold and it will be when we choose.

He left Barnsley first chance he could @Moomin style fishing here

If sterling has gone for 49m then I'm sorry but 35m for stones is not right.

I wouldn't even accept 55m for him
But Billy K will accept 30m and don't you doubt it.

Then Martinez will sign the "complete" striker, Figueroa, from Wigan, and go in with an offer too good to refuse for Scott Carson to bolster our goalkeeping options!

I remember Foxy told us he was a future england captain, the night he signed for us. I totally stand by that in agreement, he is going to captain the club and the national side.

We could sell Stones for £35/40m in 5/6 years.

Any sale here, coinciding with a poor start to the season could really up the ante with fan pressure on the board.
Meanwhile the Echo are blaming us for relying on Rom. I blame the Echo for all of this, i bet Prenno is texting Stones now saying what a great part of London Chelsea is.

I want Stones to stay. Very much so. He will be an excellent player in the coming years.

For me though he'd still be learning on the job here. No question he's still rough in many aspects of his game. If we got £30M for him we can get a good replacement and then some in the short term. I wouldn't see this as big as a disaster if McCarthy moved on. Lukaku and McCarthy are our jewels in the crown as finished/almost finished articles.

As some have already said this is just the beginning of Chelsea's & maybe now others, pursuit of the player.

Sadly I tend to think it's a case of when not if Stones is sold with football being the way it is these days. We are however in a very strong situation when it comes to negotiations & fee, Stones being English, young & a current full international.

If you consider Luke Shaw, a left back, went for £30m & looking at the fee Man City just forked out on Raheem Sterling (who lets not forget made it clear he wanted to leave!), I really think we would be looking at £40m to £50m overall.
