No mate - a club is a selling club only if it chooses to be one.

Everton can refuse this transfer. We have an asset under contract - we can choose to keep that asset.

If we choose to sell, then we have chosen to be a selling club. That's what I'm saying - that's why we can't sell, as we're consigning ourselves to mediocrity.

It's £40m or the chance to say "no, we're building a squad to compete and try and go on another level." - we can't outspend the top four, we only have a chance of out-building them from within.
