I hate to break it to you but I think the plans are to build a stadium and that means selling our prize assets to reinvest in the squad while keeping us mid table.
We won't be in this league for long if the board still own us

*Taps noseNot ITK or anything but Baring injury I'll guarantee Stones will be in the match day squad at Goodison on the first match day after the window closes.
We are exactly the same but the scale is different. We appeal to players lower down the leagues and are a stepping stone for the hyper clubs. Our business model is the same pretty much as Barnsley since Martinez arrived. We are trying to achieve a direct line from reserves to first team and fill in the gaps from player sales. Our aim is to be successful, same as Barnsley, same as Chelsea.Erm... how exactly?
Barnsley are a club who will develop players, sell, reinvest and move up the leagues. All power to them.
You reach a glass ceiling on doing that in the Premier League, and I thought that by developing a 'golden generation' we were aiming to do just that.
How is it 'condescending' to point out Everton's aims are different to Barnsleys? It's the same as Chelsea's are different to Everton's - but like Barnsley have a choice with their business model, so do we, and selling Stones right now flies in the face of the bollox Martinez has said we're trying to do as a club.
Great timing btw.
Remind me again who we play next?
Doubt they'd care if he is cup tied for the League CupWonder if he will play tomorrow night with the potential of making him cup tied if he does move.
Every cloud...Ahem.
Then you clearly haven't been watching any other football than watching Everton if thats the case. Why? Because he's English? I don't rate him any higher than mangala
Anyway,
Timeline...
August 31: Sell Stones
August 31: Yarmalenko gets lost in Bermuda Triangle
August 31: Two new signings get work permits rejected
September 1: Lukaku breaks leg.
Agreed, particularly when the ball is being crossed in. it's a failing well recognised within the club. £30m+? Sell. Forget pride. If Utd are going to lose their key man then we can afford to lose one of ours without feeling we've been humiliated. The lad is miles off as a defender. He's simply second rate positionally.
Whining about our players wanting to join the champions and calling them and their fans "plastic" for daring to be mre successful and relevant than us is something I expect from kopites.Pipe down with this BAWK crap mate.
You keep coming for our players though don't you ? Ha ha ha dry your eyes mate
All those whoppers who clap Kenwright and the board. How do you feel now ?
All those Evertonians smirking along with Mourinho for his antics. How do you feel now ? Mourinho was/is and always will be a galactical bellend.
Why City still met Liverpool's asking price for Sterling.
