same, but we finally had a clean sheet today, we've been leaking some goals lately it must be said with stones in. nothing to do with him obviously.
 

Can't believe Cleverly and Carrick made the standby list before Barry, if Gerrard picks up an injury or suspension they don't have any good holding midfield options.
 
Stones should be ahead of Jones and Smalling anyway.

Giggs said Jones will be fit enough to join the squad.
 
Hodgson said Stone will be traveling with the 23 and will replace Jones when he pulls out
 

I for one wouldn't be unhappy at Stones not going the World Cup.

I still have vivid memories of Rooney's head being turned at Euro '04 by by all the Big Time Charlies.

Better for John himself to concentrate on establishing himself at a top EPL club and gaining experience in Europe next season.

Then he will be the real deal by the time Euro '16 comes around.
 
Hodgson has talked about form in recent months being a factor, saying Sterling wasn't doing anything in October but he couldn't ignore his form in 2014. Fair play, except...

In 2014 Smalling and Jones have been pants. Stones has been ace. Jones should be his backup.
