...I think there's a litmus test in respect of Stone's worth. How many Evertonians would swap him for Jones or Smalling? Hardly any would be my guess. Now how many United fans would swap Jones or Smalling for Stones? I reckon you would get quite a few who would be very happy with such a deal.

...that penalty kick says so much. It might've been a pre-season tour, but it was a shoot-out against top class opposition and he was a young kid with no top flight experience. Class and quality. Quite amazing.

Stones is gonna be a bonified Legend in my opinion. The kid oozes Class at the back and his mistakes can be ironed out with age and experience. Future Captain here.

Selfishly I don't want him to go to The World Cup. English centre backs who can also play a bit are a hot commodity in English football, let's let him flourish at Everton for a few years before the inevitable bids start to roll in.

the fact hes basically played about 10 games and is already on the standby list tells me everyone has seen his quality.

Think Cropper has stayed loyal to two players who 'helped' England get there. On form he goes.
