Tough position for Everton and the players this. Hard for the players heads not to be turned if Jose is saying he's going to start them and throw silly wages at them.
Also suppose it depends how much Chelsea care about FFP. Doesn't seem to have bothered City too much.

Dependant on whether Ross signs a new deal I would want 100m for the pair minimum.

Not so sure about this. Mourinho has never had much of a reputation as far as I can tell for trusting young players and hasn't this season.

Kalas who performed brilliantly against Liverpool has only had that one start all year - he joked to a TV station back home "I am a player for training sessions. If they need a cone they put me there instead". Kevin de Bruyne hardly got a chance, Oscar seems to have been benched, Salah was yelled at to make sure he came back for preseason "ready to be a footballer". Even Young player of the year Hazard has publically complained about the style of play and been reprimanded for it. Barkely has already experienced a coach that didn't trust him, doubt he'd risk it by choice.

Lukaku has been pretty open about his reasons for asking to go on loan and playing time was the main one. Stones and Barkley seem down to earth lads and think they understand the importance of being on the pitch - the money/fame will come soon enough if you are good.

If Ferguson was still at United i'd be very worried though.
 
I cant see any reason why Chelsea would want Stones , they've just bought Kurt Zouma for decent money, Kalas looks to be another good youngster, and Cahill is still young for a centre back. They dont need him..

They just get linked with everyone in the world like the RS, plus the media just like selling our players, its a well known fact

I agree, I think they would both just be in the rotation. However, what would actually happen and what Jose would be telling their agents to get a deal done is two different things.

I wouldn't put it past the guy to tell them he sees them as his next Lampard/Ballack and Terry etc. To hear a coach of his repute say something along those lines would undoubtedly have an effect on a player. Hopefully they chose not to believe it and continue their development here. As some fella once said, “ Most people that have left here, it's not tended to work out for them.”.

The "big" clubs don't always buy players because they need them or intend on using them. They like to stop other people owning them.

Lukaku being a case in point, they have little intention of playing him but want him to sign a new contract so he is basically just a commodity to them. The young players would be daft to leave Everton right now as everything is moving in the right direction, both individually and as a whole.
 
You know what neither should be available at any price at the moment. If either had or have in the future any desire to leave then prices can be established but I don't believe any of our young ones are even contemplating wanting to move on currently.

We build the team around Stones McCarthy Coleman Barkley lukaku (hopefully). If we don't as spurs have shown even ridiculous money doesn't replace special players (which stones and Ross are).

Hopefully something is announced stadium wise soon too. I think that will only add to these players wanting to stay.

We need to remember were Everton not Newcastle!
