It's a hard one innit. I feel the same. But I also think good young players need to see you can reach that level playing for Everton. I reckon both of those players will have asked questions in 2-3 years if they weren't getting a look in for England and lesser players at media darlings where.

I'm more worried about the snides from other clubs than the media. Thankfully we've got a few senior players there ourselves.

Look, I dont want John Stones or Ross Barkley playing for England, personally I would prefer them both to call Hodgson a bell and go home and play their PS4, but THEY want to play for Engand, so im happy for them and I want them to do well, so they feel happy.
