John Stones

.....generally speaking another important factor is whether a player wants to leave. In Stones' case he seems a perfect pro but if a player expresses a wish to leave it's usually only a matter of time before he goes. Let's hope it's not the case with this boy for a while.

Agreed but even with the like of Lescott and Fellaini that asked to leave, we got great fees for them.

I think Stones will probably stat at Everton for another three years before even thinking of leaving.

He is still a very young player that is playing first team football every week supported by a manager and a style of football that suits his
abilities exactly.
He is in the ideal learning envoirnment for him at present.
If the club and manager can provide the platform where he will be satisfied to stay at the club is the challenge going forward.

I think he will stay for a while yet. I think we have been a little lucky in that he seems to have flown under the radar. He has got some praise but for me he is the second best CB in the PL. I just don't think other teams have realised this yet. I cant see that continuing and when they do appreciate how good he is, I think it will become very difficult for us to keep hold of him. Decent CBs are such a rarity now.

He's a smart lad and knows this, by all accounts. Though I don't think he'll be here in two years time if he continues to develop like he is and we continue to be where we are. We're a selling club, and that'll only change if a big money buyer comes in. I think most fans realise that - even though it's not pleasing at all!

Captain in two years easy. We have nobody else to take over the mantle from Jagielka.

Make him captain and hopefully that'll make him want to stay more. Tell him now he's the next in line (if he continues to progress), to keep him happy.

Give him a new connie if he is our star man again next year.

Sorted.

If he goes, with the transfer market getting more ridiculous all the time, we should easily be looking at 30/40m. Ferdinand was 30m and that was over a decade ago.

Judging from all their rumoured activity this window, Spurs are probably preparing a 75 million quid bid as I type

Levy's new plan. Spurs are going to buy every player in the world and become the only team in existence. First team to win the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, World Cup, Copa America, Wimbledon and the Superbowl all in one season.

Thing is with levy, he is like a little kid in a sweet shop. he wants everything in there! if u could just get a couple of teams to make up rumours that looking at bramble, he’d b there by end of the window! and wouldnt b suprised if rodgers was to far behind with a bid!
