Why would i want our best two talents, two of the best youngsters in World Football to leave?
The state our Club is in, the fact we dont challenge for anything, the fact we lose significance season upon season, why would they want to be here?

Because we showed them lotalty with the ammount of game time both enjoyed. Personally dont see either as the best two talents in world football....if they were they would of carried the rest of the team a tad higher than 11th. Both promising youngsters at the mo ....plain and simple. Just because chelsea deside to wave a rich stick at em doesnt mean they all of a sudden become world stars....chelsea have waved that to many young lads over the seasons who have been bought to bring profits later on.....stacked n racked. If our lads choose that as a future.....good luck to them.

Haaa. We are rubbish though, and is that ever going to change with who we have in Charge? No its not, why think that we're going to keep players like Stones and Lukaku? It'll just hurt more when they leave. Until the board get out of the Club nothing will ever change.

A squad that migh be a bit thin but if we get lucky with injuries we could do very well next season assuming players like Payet and Deulofeu join and no-one leaves. Stop being so pessimistic.

Jones played 128 over 4 seasons for United and Smalling 148 over 5. Seasons where they played at the highest level and won trophies.

So i'm still not quite sure how pointing that out to John Stones is likely to make him stay here.

And that makes them good players?

They were two highly rated young defenders who are now pretty poor and haven't developed.

Smalling was meant to be the new Rio Ferdinand. More like Anton.

Jones has turned into Phil Neville.

So unless Stones wants that and is fine picking up his money and the odd trophy or two. Cool.

But in terms of development of a player, Fergie has gone. So it isn't gonna happen.

And to be honest, I don't really care if he went. Bottom line is ££££. And with Luke Shaw picking up £100k a week for a 20 year old, being injured and chunky, then I'd probably leave too.

Its not about being the best anymore for a lot of players. Its about a doing a job. And why our national team is a shambles.

Good point. But every post-season for the last six EFC have been two or three top players away from glory. Billy Liar never bridges that gap and we are left with one or two mediocrities playing regularly.
