He was superb yesterday, I only saw him make one mistake when he miscontrolled a long punt up front and Howard had to tip Carols shot over, you could see he was annoyed with himself, the lad has high standards.

I'd think we have a fair few other options in hodgsons eyes, considering bar injurys the only way stones going to get games is the cup next week and a few other cup matches
...I agree its very unlikely at this stage, particularly because his profile is so low outside of us who watch him. I do think Englands options are light, though. Smalling, Jones and now Caulker are in line and I heard somebody pushing for the Hull lad this week. I don't think I'd swap Stones for any of 'em.
A young Rio is exactly what I thought about him, classy player, I expect the vultures to come circling in around in 2 years or so...
Yeah but worrying about it on the back of a good performance, when its nowhere near on the horizon and wont be for at least a year or two, seems a bit daft to me is all.
Looks a fantastic prospect, just hope we sign his future partner in the summer too and let alcaraz go.
Would love next year to have
Jags/stones & Distin/Martin-indi
John Stones is better at football than you.
You know full well what I mean. It's the initial reaction of blues to worry about things a long way down the line rather than to enjoy what is.Eh...
he will be crap for england simply because the football is atrocious.Thought he was excellent yesterday, especially when the Big Gypo came on.....great learning curve, and he's at the right Club with the right manager to become a top- class centre back for Everton and England in years to come

Is it? I'm not sure that's the case with a lot of other supporters, myself. It just seems to be ingrained in Evertonians and it can be quite frustrating.I think it's the tendency of any group of supporters to be quite honest.
