Im afraid you're talking bollocks - he got himself into a hole because he still doesn't know when to launch it and when not to.
if he played for barca and did that, he'd have been applauded.[Poor language removed] me the John Stones Mafia!
I like him as a footballer as much as anybody but basic principle of defending " time and place"

We get 15% apparently, so I'm hoping it's the £60m Barca alternative. By the way, I live near John's parents and it's an open secret around these parts that John is taking Spanish lessons. Might be a coincidence I suppose...45 million sterling and he is yours mate
I think it's his time...let's hope so!He is missing Jags in a big way. Mori can't cover for his mistakes and he isn't experienced enough to stay focused for the full 90. Loads of talent, but we need to remember how great Jagielka is as a defender (albeit he should hand the C arm band to commander Besic). I love that crazy ass Bosnian. He made some of those tough tackles we desparately need in this squad. Btw has he gotten taller?
Tell it like it is bro! What was the end result of all of that? we kept the ball cause they fouled us. That's much better than launching it aimlessly into row Z.
he didn't get himself into a hole, he was in a hole when he got the ball. He then twisted, saw Besic who was in a sticky situation, twisted then saw Howard who had 2 Spurs attackers sniffing around and decided to keep it a bit long till someone else gets open, they didn't, he got fouled. Players like him don't 'launch' balls cause they believe they can find better solutions. Its this sort of arrogance on the ball that makes really great teams just that. if we had more players in our back six with his level of ability on the ball then we'd be a much better team. imagine telling Bobby Moore, Baresi, Scirea, or god forbid Beckenbauer to launch balls when they feel they can create another option...just imagine.
This is the guy that Panenka'd The Old Lady without even blinking.
He can tie a hammock up between those mothers, take a siesta, send Howard to the Dry Cleaners, conduct a phone interview for FourFourTwo and still be pulling elasticos on the goal-line.
