Martinez knows he's off in the summer. His job now is to motivate Stones or throw him into bench.

It sure is.
What he writes about Ross Barkley is very thought provoking.
And it has me edging ever closer to the plotter's position I'm afraid.
For me Khal, it's time for the Everton board to get off the pot and p155... El Bob has a terrific squad that has morphed/is rapidly morphing into Wigan under his managership.
If it's a choice between JS/RB and RL and maybe SC as well staying and the manager going, then the club better act decisively and fast, cos come the summer, you can bet ya boots that their agents will be having them away to sunnier or at least much better paid climes than we can provide.?
There are some very high profile and eminently qualified managers currently or very, very soon to be available and people may well suggest it's pie-in-the-sky to suggest Mourinho or Gaurdiola, but for heavens sake why can't/shouldn't Everton approach them?
The contact should be along the lines of... "Anyone can spend gazillions at Man City, Chelski or Man U, why not take control of our talented squad and really, really, really prove what a top drawer coach/manager you are. Win the Premiership with Everton on the best budget we can afford and in the face of that level of financial competition and you'll achieve footballing immortality.
Well Jose/Pep... Have you got the balls for a challenge like that rather than the cosy, comfy cheque-book managership you'll be offered at those other clubs ??"
And their response will be something along the lines of. "Sorry, I'm off to United/City".
And to my mind, that would confirm they have no balls and are not the managers people think they are.
"Rio Ferdinand believes that Everton fans have got our younger players “in a nervous state” at the moment - and says he was grateful to be brought up at West Ham where the fans and staff allowed for him making errors.
I can see the point Rio Ferdinand was making.
But when he was making mistakes at West Ham he was 17 or 18 years old.
By the time he was the age John Stones or Ross Barkley are now, he had moved to Leeds United."
Michael Ball the defensive defender.
John Stones was absolutely awful and played his worst game in an Everton shirt on the weekend.
There was one pass in the second half where he was near the right back position in the opposition's half and he passed it to absolutely nobody and the Everton move broke down. There wasn't an Everton player within 15m of his pass.
Secondly the Collymore article is spot on http://betting.boylesports.com/football/premier-league/toffees-youngsters-becoming-unstuck-Martinez One or two mistakes is not the end of the world, but something should be done to make sure it doesn't become a habit. The Goals Against column clearly suggest that nothing is being done. If Martinez is a really good manager, he should have put things right, but it increasingly looks like he'll stick to his strategy and 'philosophy' come hell or high water. That's just stupid in my opinion.
Thirdly, John Stones' positioning on counters have been getting worse and worse. Perhaps he is overconfident that he has it covered?
Havent got a nice word to say about Collymore, but he hits the nail bang on the head with every word there.
