What a bellSorry you can't string together a coherent augment but suddenly becoming "the bigger man" doesn't negate the fact that you've come apart at the seams.

Does developing a player necessitate him starting? Of course he's not the finished article. He's good at some things but I think you should have checked before jumping in the argument. I already said he was quality but I'd rather he becomes Barry's heir.
What a bell
Bring back per kroldrup he was classWonder if some of the people wanting to get rid of Stones felt the same about Ross and Rom last season?
I was asking a question not telling you your opinion, look back. Fair enough if you think he's a long term cb. I disagree.Where have I said he should be starting?
At the moment he is third choice due a combination of injury and form. This time next week due to either of those he may be likely to be first choice again...
Personally, I think he's a defender - as do, seemingly, a lot of pundits and ex-pros/managers.
However, I can also see why he may be able to be developed as a midfielder. But in the long run I think he's much better nailing down one position than being a jack of all traits, and ultimately that means he will have to take the bad form and the good form in his stride - as we as fans also need to do - and not look for the quickest solution all the time - which is what this social media and Sky-fuelled transfer window merry-go-round has created.
Before Christmas - in fact - from October when he cam back from injury through to December he was ace.
First signs of tiredness crept in around Boxing Day and he was shaky for a few games following that. Got his mojo back when Joel came in for the cup (semi final at home to City), and then for the next few games. Took a step backwards vs Swansea.
Been out injured since. Comes on and plays in a back three (which we hardly ever do) for the last 15 minutes of a game we were already sitting extremely deep in.
That's it. Nothing more to be seen here.

When you say we have to roll with his form to me that seems to suggest we should be having him starting even off form correct me if I'm wrong though. I think you have to realize that this isn't some sudden reaction to a 15 minute spell out of position today.
That's it from me.
Think he needs some intensive training in attacking the ball in the air. He's a big lad. He should be attacking anything near him around head height, with plenty of aggression. Seems to lose to many of these duels for me.
I guess we'll see and I hope he's here for years to come.Fair enough, apologies if I miss-understood your post.
No, it doesn't imo, mean that he has to start every game, and I think a spell out of the team, in the long run, will do him good.
And no I understand that you're not knee-jerking, but as I've pointed out, he was excellent prior to Christmas. That Palace game was one of the most complete performances I've seen from any young player in years.
He had a shaky spell. He got injured and Martinez has rested him as there has been no need to rush him back. Mori and Jags are playing well. I don't have a problem with that at all.
Just showed the goal, Jags got done in the air again and Stones was two yards behind Jags and tried to cover for him but couldn't get there, only Jags can be blamed for that.
Tbh its not a question wanting to 'get rid' to me its a question of who's the best player plays, Jags and Mori are better players at this time in that position and as a pairing, simple. If someone wants to pay crazy money and the lad wants out ( I think he does not only by his request but by his form and attitude) then I have no problem with him going based what I think of the lad as a player, some think it will be the end of Everton and ambition I don't!Wonder if some of the people wanting to get rid of Stones felt the same about Ross and Rom last season?
