This is probably the most Important season he has ever had, he has probably waltzed through most of his career because he is so gifted. This year will have challenged him mentally more than any other in the past and maybe in the future too. If he starts getting regular game time and plays in Euro's, you will be able to see exactly what he is made of.
 
What if ...
What if he never figures this out. He becomes stubborn and thinks he deserves butter. He might have physical potential but this game is more mental than anything.
 

I think this is being handled well. He got dropped because he was making mistakes and being to cocky . Now is the time to see if he has character and wants to play for us as he now has to fight for a place in the team . If we can get him to stay and want to be part of the future of the club - great .... If he doesn't we should sell him to the highest bidder over 50 million - simple as !
 
As with Rom, if the lad wants to go then as we get decent money for him(in his case £50m) then I will be ok with that.

Again I trust that we will find an adequate replacement, if we haven't already got one that is.
 
Someone once told me that Eric Dier was a square peg in a round hole when I told them that Stones could move into midfield, looks like he's doing ok at the mo...
 

Hoddle in the guardian is saying Stones should be 1st choice CB as hes our only ball player there.

Also highlights others who play the ball out from the back yet make mistakes...

He has to start every game for us as well. Its that simple.

Well apparently not to the man that matters. I've been disappointed by the dropping of the young talent we all drooled over earlier this season. We are still playing rubbish so why not play him for the rest of the season?
Mind you, I believe he'll be handing the transfer request at earliest possible anyway. But he should play. Funes Mori has been deplorable defensively of late so needs a rest.
And Stones is not a right back. Plays at CB.

Stones to DM

This a worth a try. His ability to play football and pass would be a huge strength.

His mobility and vision and he would drop in deep with ease when full backs push on

Mentioned this the other day eapecially seeing how poor and unprotected at the back we were against arsenal....
