Looked like he gave the ball away, we conceded and he went down upset, physic went to come on and he jumped to his feet and jogged down the tunnel.

Nice one lid.

No chance of 30million for him now surely. Still got potential but unlikely to fulfill it under this regime. Should be busting a gut (no pun intended) to get in England 1st team alongside Smalling. Don't see him trying to do that. Raved about him 12 months ago but starting to question his attitude and appetite for the challenge.

As I posted elsewhere the mistake, although most thought it was correct at the time, was to keep hold of him last summer. He wanted away as evidenced by his transfer request and whilst I suspect he has been told how wonderful he is and been offered a new contract the club is in a state of turmoil.

Again as I posted last summer he was always going to struggle in just 12 moths to become an automatic Englandpick before the Euros yet I suspect he believed what was being said re his potential as opposed to what he had delivered on the pitch. For me the irony is that had he gone to Chelsea he and Terry playing alongside each other would have brought him on leaps and bounds in that Terry would have been constantly in his ear and he would have benefited no end . As we saw last night his positioning hasn't improved nor do Everton poses the right players to orgainise from the back

I thought the lad looked close to a breakdown when he got subbed last night. I think he was mentally shot to pieces and he has got just two days to get his head right, sorry I mean recover from stomach cramps, before the semi. It was a pretty gutless flounce but we need him on Saturday, mind cleared and ready to go.

If he went off because he was embarrassed or humiliated It was a disgrace to Everton Football Club. He will never be a captain or a leader if he did that.

agree with you mate, but the fella is only a kid really , takes a lot at that age to take the responsibility, and stick he has taken this season, not surprised his head has gone, looked in a right mood after the second one went in.

He went off because he had the galloping big trots. He spent half time In the khazi!
We only have three centre backs so he had to play. He needs a rest, but our manager let us go into the season a CB short. Now we are reaping the rewards.
