Better than Rose?. Not a chance. Rose was excellent, easily the best player on the pitch.

Thought Sterling, Alli, Walker and their winger were very good.

Rose was at fault for their goal, very fortunate to get man of the match for me.

Easy MOTM for me. I thought Ali and Walker where good to. Sterling tho was meh, very average player.

After the roasting Smalling took yesterday.

The fact that only 3 CB are going to go suggests that RH knows it's an area where England are weak. Smalling despite his performance yesterday is almost certainly to be a starter and whilst Cahill hasn't had a great season he is far more experienced and yes he has an error in him but he is able to impact a game far more and is a better defender and in the system Hodgson is playing he relies on the central two defenders to defend and not to take the sort of risks Stones is likely to take.Cahill is a safety first defender is more of a danger at England set pieces, is vice captain so for me at this tournament is likely , in the first two games to start in the back 4 of Rose, Cahill, Smalling and Walker.

José Mourinho has identified André Gomes, João Mário, John Stones, Álvaro Morata, Mauro Icardi and Ezequiel Garay as summer targets for Manchester United as part of an anticipated minimum £150m spend.

The Portuguese’s imminent replacement of Louis van Gaal as manager will lead to major surgery on the squad but has boosted several previous unhappy players, notably David de Gea, Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera. Juan Mata, though, scorer of the equaliser in Saturday’s FA Cup final, could leave, as Mourinho sold the Spaniard to United in January 2014 when he was in charge of Chelsea.

Mourinho is understood to retain an interest in Stones, who is valued at more than £40m and whom he tried to sign for Chelsea from Everton last summer, and faces a fight for the England international with Manchester City. United have also made inquiries to Juventus about Morata’s team-mates Alex Sandro, a left-back, and Paul Pogba, the former United midfielder. However the club was quoted £116m (€150m) for each, a price designed to end United’s interest.
