All these folk keen to see the back of Stones.....yet our Captain is finished at top level and nobody's battered an eyelid. Jagielka is a competent player and no more, and his injury record is comprehensive. Stones is the type of player you should build a defence around.

I agree mate, now all you need to is convince Stones to stay and everythings ok.

I agree, 50 mil is a lot but it would still be nice to see Stones remain an Evertonian.

He can go for that money, as long as we replace him with someone equal to/ better and not some utter utter uninspiring dross from some relegated team like Villa

You build your defence around a player who is not a strong defender?

He is sexy as hell on the ball...it's what seduces us IMO.

The lad wants to go. He has made it clear by not entertaining any new contract we may or not have offered. Pointless us fuming about it now. Yes...Stonesy is as talented as they come, a ball playing centre half who at his best breaks the defence and opens up play. At his worst he looks out of his depth, misses too many headers and looks around to blame everyone else. That's the John Stones I've seen. He's on his way. Good luck and perhaps his career will match his potential. For me, it sums up our what we've known for ages; we couldn't convince him to stay and if he ain't arsed about Everton then I for one won't be arsed about him. Just make sure the 50 big ones don't go to waste.
