John Stones

City should get thrown out of Europe for this.

Seriously though, are there not rules on naming illegible players.

Do they just fax over a list of names?

Don't they have to supply passport numbers/dates of birth/NI numbers or something more than a fag packet with names on?

Amazing by pep here. On the day united sign the worlds most expensive player. Everyone is talking about a player going to city haha.

Let the mind games begin!

Anyway, good luck to John - acted like a professional throughout, I'm sure he'll go on to be one of the world's best, and it was a privilege to see him in Everton blue in his first two seasons.

Now we need to re-invest the money to offset the new Kenwright we have in charge. Same old.

It's a shame a lot of lads on here don't have the same attitude as you mate about Stones.

He will go on to be world class, and we will have played our part in that.

Meh, contracts don't mean much these days. If he signed I'd have expected various clauses.

Issue with me on this one is how long we've allowed it to drag on. Again.

I suppose though if it means us being able to strengthen the entire squad then the extra amount of time it has taken would make sense.
In that we wanted one of their players + a vast amount of money, + defensive replacements that Koeman was happier with already agreed. If Koulibaly had said yes back in June then this deal for 40m+Bony may have happened sooner. Football is becoming increasingly murky business sadly. I hope we come out of this in a far stronger position. Stones has the potential to be brilliant, but he has treated us and the club like something he has stepped in for a while now. Time to get shut and pull together. Leicester proved what a team can do.
