Force multiplier?

Not saying he will or he won't, I've no clue, but given his Palace holding has been used as security for the high interest loans he used to purchase Lyon, what is he going to use to replace that security?

My thoughts were he'd either need it to be us, but he can't buy us until he's sold Palace OR he's intending on paying down that debt through this IPO. I'm not sure that works either as he'd need a large portion of that capital raise to fund his Everton purchase. Unless he has other outside investors willing to join him?

This is the sticking point for Textor isn`t it? The only offers according to Matt Slater for his shares is the current shareholders who will only pay what he paid for them c£85m-£100m but he values them at 45% of what he feels the club is worth c£500m.

You`d have to say Matt appears to be correct given the lack of movement.

So the answer is no, he is looking for 1/2 of what we owe 777/Friedkin but in reality he will get a quarter of that.
If you two are correct, it sounds like this Textor deal is another waste of time.

The nightmare scenario here is ending up with yet another finger in the pie making us even more of an impossibility for a real buyer to step in.

It makes no sense why someone was given a period of exclusivity when they have such a massive hurdle of having to sell their significant shares in another club first. We could be waiting years for that to happen and even then he still may decide against Everton like the others did.
Other than one initial report which was never confirmed (and Textor is a loud mouth so you’d think he would shout about it), we don’t 100% know he has exclusivity.

It makes sense why he would want it, as if he went down the route, spending tonnes on legal fees etc to sell his Palace shares, he could get gazumped just before buying Everton, leaving him with a cut price sale to get out of Palace and nothing to buy, his magic pyramid broken into bits.

Mosh offering exclusivity of more than a very short period is absolute lunacy.

It made no sense to get involved with 777 given their questionable reputation and even less sense to extend that involvement when they had failed to gain approval within the agreed timescale , amidst reports of bankruptcies, failed payments , investigations and law suits.
Expecting any common sense from the administration of our club is a forlorn expectation.
We are totally nonsensical from top to bottom .

I do believe Textor actually wants to buy us but unless he makes loads from his IPO so that he can clear up the issues at Lyon and sell his Palace shares (which just seem a strange deal 45% control for a 25% say) I don't see how he takes over. Not ever factoring in the Moshiri messing about that will undoubtedly occur at some point.

Those last 6 months hanging around for 777 when it was clear to any sane person the deal wasn’t happening has killed us.

Moshiri aint it the word sense and him dont go together

I think you'll find we are exactly where he wants us, if he wanted to sell us he wouldn't have wasted the time he has.
Is Moshiri gong to hold on to Everton despite the insistence he will sell... once the stadium is finished the club would be worth £1bn+, if he has to pay R&MF, 777 and TFG that still leaves him the £400m or so he would have had to write off...

Is that the game?

If he feels he can hang on and get more cash - why wouldn't he ?

Everything is being spent against the club at the moment - he isn't investing further AFAIK.

Its an odd gamble - but investing is a sort of gambling - he's already lost plenty.
