John Textor

Rather like Kenwright, Moshiri began by looking for investors rather than selling the club.
Obviously the the fact his wealth is closely linked to the sanctioned Usmanov has meant he has liquidity problems , especially with regards to completing the stadium.
I am increasingly of the opinion ( shared by others on here) that he would prefer not to sell.
I would not be at all surprised to see Moshiri survive this period of financial difficulties while retaining ownership or at least a substantial interest.
If he truly wanted to sell I believe we would have been sold by now.
Unlike Kenwright he found numerous parties in a few months.

CitizenSuburbia has said on X that Moshiri has already accepted (once before) a "deeply subordinated earn out which is payable only on a successful exit by new owners in the future".

That's quite significant if correct but also worrying, considering that noone has been able to conclude a deal.

It would also surely be one less hurdle for Textor to jump, if he had a serious chance of buying us. Everything suggests he does not.

You may well be right. I think Moshiri is as likely to remain owner by the time of the move as he is not.

Watched a podcast from The Athletic with Mat Slater and also Paddy Boyland earlier. Mat Slater saying how much Textor is in favour of the multi-club model.

While Textor seems a bit like a white knight for us at the moment, I'm really not sure. I'd rather these multi-club owners stay away from us.
Same really .
Nothing against Textor , just really hate Multi -club conglomerates. It dilutes each clubs identity somewhat, that is inherent in the concept.
There is also the very real question of sporting integrity.
I’ve said before , but the more this becomes the accepted way for the sport to operate the more we may see a day when the sport becomes dominated by large conglomerates as opposed to individual clubs. In effect a danger of super clubs were each individual club serves the whole.
It’s a concept the authorities should have prevented at the outset , but the horse is out of the stable now.

Feels like to me that Moshiri hoping the Ukraine war ends sooner reather then later, then he can get his dividends from USM and pay all the debt off then sell the club for a massive profit. Why else would he be doing all this faffing about with people who never buy the club but are paying the bills

If the war ended tomorrow the sanctions would stay in place for some time perhaps years.

Relations with Russia are at an all time low and won't improve whilst Putin remains in control
