Jonjoe Kenny

Kenny was always going to be offered another deal. We need cheap back up.

He is not a starter, but this season has shown how susceptible we are to injuries.
Giving fat contracts out to crap players just in case you have a shedload of injuries is how you end up in the mess we’re in. We have 2 actual right backs and 2 centre halves who can cover there about as well as kenny can. It just isn’t a good move.

Inappropriate Language
Patterson is unproven, Coleman can't play a full season.

It was always going to happen. We've got [Poor language removed] all money, so no matter how [Poor language removed] he is, it helps to have someone who can cover the back line.

It could be that Patterson becomes first choice RB, Coleman is the back up, and JJK never comes out of the tunnel.
Or his house.

I dont think we've heard the end of the RB saga with that Kenny offer. He'll accept it...I dont mean that. But I can even see FL bringing another one in and then making a big decision on Coleman or Patterson.

Selling Keane + Mina would remove a big amount off the wages bracket and bring in circa £20mil.

Letting Kenny go would mean £25k a week or £1.3mil saved on the books.

Add the total for the three and its quite a significant sum.

At the very least, £25k could have gone to say Pickford to renew...or held back for Branthwaite in 12months.

Its madness.

We’re not bringing in a 4th right back Dave.
