It's a shame how few under 20 make it to the first team
Kenny, Dowell, Lookman, DCL, Davies & Connolly were all in the world cup or in the younger age groups regularly. One person has made it to a regular PL starter, and the thing that stands out is the physical transformation that DCL has done, and so whatever the system and the support that a club and country offers, it's all down to the player

Good on him for turning down a deal. Would have been the path of least resistance and most comfortable decision for him but he's done what's best for his career and intentionally or unintentionally what's best for the club.

All the best, had he not came of age in the era of manager merry-go-round and complete mismanagement, I'm sure he would have kicked on more than what he did over the last few years.

lookman is also a regular enough PL starter, we just would rather keep the old crap than give him proper chance

fair play to kenny for turning it down, he clearly has more sense than the people running the club

….we don’t know what’s on offer from elsewhere. If there is interest at home and abroad he could well be getting something in the region of a £3m signing fee and £40k per week.
