Still not good enough good luck to him in his Championship career
maybe not good enough...but he is part of the Everton family; he is with us until he retires.Still not good enough good luck to him in his Championship career
Yet, many will always say he didI’ve re watched that and you’re right. He didn’t bottle it at all.
All in all... not put a foot wrong when he's played and has 2 assists to his name.
Not setting the world alight but do personally think he should've got game time over Coleman at stages.
But unlucky that his career is done here
It'll be with Everton at our current rate.Still not good enough good luck to him in his Championship career
Well apart from the Hull equaliser where he massively bottled a challenge 60/40 in his favour.
But not going to knock his 2 assists as they've both been great deliveries.
He won the first, then not the 2nd against Tom Huddleston who's a unit (he also had Townsend and Allan not engaging the ball, and he was out of position).
The fact he made the challenges closer to the halfway line than the box, but the ball was allowed to move to his opposite wing past numerous blue shirts...is more damning than his bottling a challenge that had no goal threat until 3 passes later.
Lads done fine.

But Allan is right on the spot - why isn't he ready and prepared to jump in for the second challenge if it were needed?Well he ran out of position to engage the first tackle, then Allan is about to engage Huddlestone but Kenny continues his run so Allan leaves it to Kenny (Allan is 1 yard away at this point so if Kenny had left it would have pressed Huddlestone) and Kenny puts in a half arsed tackle.
I agree he's done fine (fine being better than awful from Coleman) but it's the pulling out of challenges like he did that causes numerous issues.

Kenny's only mistake was not keeping the line of defence at the edge of the box after seeing off the first Hull attacker; but Allan's job is to clean up in situations of that very kind in front of our defence.
I thought the pair of them had good games, but the burden of responsibility for Hull's second goal lies with Allan for me.
I'm not saying he should brush Kenny aside and take the first tackle, I'm saying he should be prepared for the ball breaking out of Kenny's challenge on Huddlestone. It's what his job is - breaking up play. He wasn't switched on for that eventuality, so he takes the major share of responsibility; Kenny has a question to answer only in regard to leaving his position at the edge of the box and breaking the defensive shape.Because if Allan jumps in he'll get tackled by Kenny. You can see it on the replay, Allan goes to make the move but Kenny is already in motion to do his half arsed attempt.
He was a huge favourite for that ball and lost it. It was a terrible attempt at a tackle, and less than 10 seconds later, it was a goal.
