Well he ran out of position to engage the first tackle, then Allan is about to engage Huddlestone but Kenny continues his run so Allan leaves it to Kenny (Allan is 1 yard away at this point so if Kenny had left it would have pressed Huddlestone) and Kenny puts in a half arsed tackle.

I agree he's done fine (fine being better than awful from Coleman) but it's the pulling out of challenges like he did that causes numerous issues.

A one off while the rest of the team didn't even attempt one

I'm not saying he should brush Kenny aside and take the first tackle, I'm saying he should be prepared for the ball breaking out of Kenny's challenge on Huddlestone. It's what his job is - breaking up play. He wasn't switched on for that eventuality, so he takes the major share of responsibility; Kenny has a question to answer only in regard to leaving his position at the edge of the box and breaking the defensive shape.
He isn't Dave, We have played him out of position ever since he came here, he is NOT a DM player, he normally plays in a 3 and stays around the centre circle area passing the ball forward and breaking forward with the ball when he can.

Itks what he's been tasked to do here.

Then that's the mangers fault for not knowing what his players are, maybe we should just play in a way that actually suits the players we have or forget rubbish like Longstaff and sign a proper DM.
Lol.

He's not 'kin Xavi, he's a player who puts himself about and makes challenges.

All in all... not put a foot wrong when he's played and has 2 assists to his name.

Not setting the world alight but do personally think he should've got game time over Coleman at stages.

But unlucky that his career is done here
I thought for the first half of the Brighton game he was hopeless to the point that I was seriously feeling sorry for him because its not his fault but he looked so shockingly out of his depth it was painful. He did get a bit better after that though. Saturday I went and if i'm honest i had a bit too much to drink and don't really remember the game that well so I can't comment.

The midfield is costing us in every game at the moment because of tactics/individuals, let's just hope we sign some sort of an upgrade in the window who can make a difference

League One/Two standard, alongside his mate Tom Davies.

At least Michael Keane and Mason Holgate could probably cut it in the Championship, but the two Scouse lads are abysmal and won the lottery when they got contracts with us.

Those four, Tosun, Sigurdsson, Iwobi, Rondon, Coleman. Get them all gone asap please.

this.

At least kenny can pick out an Everton player when crossing into the box. 2 games 2 assists.
How many games do you need to go back for captain rallying cries, last 2 Assists?

That’s not saying Kenny is good enough, because he isn’t, but I’d hand in for Coleman these days.

To be fair that is the best way to approach Everton games ;)

He has been playing as a wing back though

One thing Kenny does not do is shirk a challenge,he is generally happy to get stuck in. One instance he gets bullied by a very good player people act like he shot their gran.

Can’t decide in last couple of games if
A. He’s no use. Or
B. He doesn’t understand what he’s meant to be doing.

2 good assists but looked lost most of the time
