Considering there was talk of Dann for a similar price earlier in the summer I am happy enough to get Evans. Not as if we could get much better for our money and he doesn't have to settle into the league quickly when he plays.

Or they were trying to price us out of buying him by charging over the odds? Evans isn't worth 8m and we are unlikely to pay that so chill out a bit.

This is great, it appears we are interested in Johnny Evans and and he becomes a joke and responsible for the demise of Manchester United. I'd love to see us putting a bid in for Messi. Can you imagine the fume; us bidding for the joke that has stopped Argentina winning the World Cup.

If price is lower than £8m, wouldn't be the worst signing. He'd rotate/back up Jags and Stones and gives some stability on that front. There are far worse (and better) players than this guy.
