You mean some folk plant a flag on what their opinion will be, and then twist and turn every nano second of a players performance to "prove" their pre disposed opinion?

Surely not.
Imagine wanting random fellas on the internet to think you’re a football guru over actually wanting your team to do well.

..class act was PvdH. Rolls Royce of an athlete and very underrated footballer. I always think the Psycho tag detracts from how good he was.

He was s great player . Had the hard “ you harm my team mate , I’m gonna get you “ streak in him , too . I’d like to see a bit of it in Pickford . Come out and claim a ball , flattening anyone in front of him . Old goalie style

What about this one? Has the ball already passed him? He's looking straight at it and is in a good enough position to do better.

Then he goes into his amateur dramatics and throws himself through the air for good effect.

Football isn't really your thing, is it mate?

I can tell because you're expecting Pickford to have Jedi reflexes to stop a point blank bullet header from five yards out.

Look at the time on both of those pictures and it might give you a clue as to why you're being mind-numbingly stupid here.

He's so far conceded 6 goals and only 1 has been a "mistake".

The "mistake" is the Neves goal, he takes a step when he shouldn't have. These things happen, the following week Alisson did the same thing at a free kick against Palace and made what made a potentially difficult save incredibly easy for himself. (Didn't stop the RS deeming him the next De Gea, which didn't last long. Nice Cruyff turns you blurt.)

The Jimenez goal is a belter header and he has no chance.

The Southampton goal is 6 yards out from a corner. Arguably he should be coming out for it but I think its a marking issue.

The Bournemouth goals are a penalty and a rebound after hitting the post from a near post flick on. No blame for either.

And finally the Huddersfield goal is from 6 yards out again and is past him before he (and most likely every other keeper) can react.

Sure there have been little errors which haven't costed goals but that is more rustiness due to no real pre season. Anyone moaning about him need to give their head a wobble.

Mate you have got this hopelessly wrong. There is a lad in a red tshirt in the crowd who, much like landing lights on a runway, allowed the Huddersfield player to position himself squarely in front of the goal while also distracting poor Jordan. The chap in the green jumper with the beard shouted "Sunderland are 0-1 against Oxford at home hahahha" (they were at that point) which put off our Mackem keeper, too.

In short, The Fans Are To Blame

The kick that found Tosun, and one that Niasse ran into the corner were both spectacular I thought. Look at how the likes of Kepa and Allison have been so far for their vast sums of money and you realise just how good Pickford is.

I think a fair few of you compare him to Southall which although understandable, is incredibly harsh. We dont compare every striker to Linekar do we?
