Imagine the fume if we signed a 19 year old Belgium keeper from Genk to replace Pickford.

We have an odd bunch of fans: nobody is good enough to sign for us (or too good to sign for us), so we are constantly disappointed in transfer dealings, so we hate our players until they are 'too good for us' then tart them up for the shop window salivating at the prospect of selling to the highest bidder. As soon as they are sold and continue to be quality elsewhere we decide 'we sold too cheap'.

Interesting, Delle Ali's goal is right at the keeper. He should save it but doesn't. Pickford saves one right at him and Twitter is full of people saying his saves are easy as they are right at him.

I would hate to sell him. Hate selling any good player. But if a silly offer comes in you have to consider it. You would be foolish not to do so.

Silly offer, truly silly, maybe. But what if we allow ourselves the thought that a longterm plan with our new coach and dof is in place? I like to believe even they need a player or three at this point to prove a point. That this is a place to be, keeping hold of some our valuables must surely mean something? That's the job Brands was hired to do. If United inquire and Marcel says £70 mil is the price take it or leave it and they agree to it I say well done...as long as he has a plan already in place on who to reinvest that money on.
