It is. Despite the fact it was a poor penalty, about 75% of the time those poor penalties still go in. The trailing leg save is one of the hardest to get right, as it's a split second reaction with all your weight going the other way.

Terrible penalty, but good save.

Did well enough today. I just wish they wouldn't have interviewed him on MOTD2. His arrogance to the fore again: "My save turned the game". Even if it did...and I dont think it did as we only got a head of steam up to any effect last 10 minutes...he shouldn't be CLAIMING the result.

He will only get 100 caps if a world class English keeper doesn’t appear on the scene. That there was a debate between him and a relegated Stoke goalkeeper for who would be #1 sums up the England gk situation. A bit like current English managers he’s good, but not great, and like current English managers wouldn’t get in a top six side. He’s good with his feet (great save vs Croatia in the semi) but shot stopping is an issue. Often seems to be out of range.

One of the worst posts ever in here this. And that’s no mean feat.

He's a good keeper, not world class yet in my opinion, still has much to work on but he's already very, very good. Bare in mind keepers don't peak till they are 30odd then we have a hell of a keeper on our hands.

And of course the save changed the game, if we go one down with 30 mins to go we are right up against it.

He's naive. Maybe he says stuff that he just doesn';t think about? He looks a bit loose cannonish, for sure. That comment comes across as arrogance though and it doesn't endear him to me for one...and I know there's others who dont like it.
