Nice objective selection of posts. I stand by what Ive said, at times he’s been terrible. No ammount of current good form will change that.

I was one of those that wondered about him at first, his stature in the box concerned me.
I was wrong, he's a very good goalkeeper, wouldn't swap him for anyone except maybe De Gea

Selling him, or even entertaining the thought of selling him, would be a huge backward step for the Owner, the management team and the Club in general. It would just reinforce the perception of us being a small club unable to fend off the big boys when they come cherry picking our brightest stars. The very perception that Brands, Silva and Moshiri are trying to rid us of.
I don’t think they’ll sell.....even at £75M or thereabouts the fans would see it as a loss as opposed to turning a decent profit, and rightly so. Anyway, De Gea won’t be going to Madrid so it’ll be his agent angling for a bigger contract at OT.

As a shot stopper he’s top class and he’s clearly great with his distribution. My only ever concern with him has been with his height. Having defenders who are commanding in the air makes me feel much more comfortable.
Goalies are like penises. It's not necessarily size that matters, it's how you use it.

As it stands, he'd be worth about a £100m in the current market, given his form, his age and his long-term contract.

Not that we'll be selling, but it goes some way to showing what a quality player we have.

Not at all the finished article, still makes mistakes given how he plays, especially with the ball at his feet, but it's bloody good to have such a good goalkeeper who should only get better.

I honestly don't think we'd even come to the table for less than £100m.

I'm not saying he's worth it in the grand scheme of things, because no player is, but the way its gone then there'd be no reason for us to accept anything less, and we'd only do so if really he wanted out. Given he's on a long-term deal and seems to know here is the best place for him as it stands, there's no reason to expect he'll be off anywhere.

Why would he go to Utd? They are on the decline. Genuinely been stealing wins to paper over the cracks, as of late.

I think we'll finish above them this season.

if they don't strengthen that defence in Jan I think it's possible, relying on pogba/martial every game

they have a striker not scoring and defenders who can't defend

I mean smalling is still at CB for them and hes a mid table player, Ashley young hasn't been a good winger for about 5 years never mind full back, Luke Shaw is doing ok but he's nothing special, lindelof is doing better but again nothing special

hopefully pogba goes back to juventus, martial and de gea leave on a free and they slip into mediocrity
