Pickford is looking better now, and I hope to be proven wrong about him in the long run. If he turns out world class, thats nothing but a positive.
I dont want our players to fail, just like I dont want to praise them when they suck.

Pickford has been on an upwards form curve these last months, and thats great for us. Tbf, Ive said he’s improved on here.

He isnt what a lot of our fans want him to be, and unless he improves dramatically, he never will. He’s going on 25, having played 2-3 full seasons in the prem. If he hasnt improved dramatically over the two seasons we’ve had him, I dont understand why anyone would think he suddenly will. Jordan is fairly average, with a good save in him here and there, but thats about it.

And medival or not, a keeper main job is to goalkeep, and thats what Ill judge him on. If you think a good long ball now and then is worth more than clean sheets, thats fine, but I dont agree with your judgment at all.

I agree with your first point, blame where blame is due. Not every goal is Pickfords’ fault, but too many are, which is why we need better.

As a shot stopper he’s top class and he’s clearly great with his distribution. My only ever concern with him has been with his height. Having defenders who are commanding in the air makes me feel much more comfortable.

Well he did say Pickford has not made an impact at Everton.

Yet, while in his first season with us he has won the England's number one jersey and played at the world cup.

Won Player of the year at Everton, won young player of the year at Everton and also Players player of the year award. A clean sweep of awards.

But yet to make an impact at Everton in the eyes of some.
 
The amount of times I have been shocked to see an imminent goal-scoring chance from an oppositions' attack saved this season has significantly increased, thanks to Pickford's heroics. Not only has @Moomin identified objectively, at an award level, the impact at Everton, but Pickford has seriously shown it on the pitch in terms of saves I thought the likes of Howard, Robles and Stek would never have saved.
