Because thise goalkeepers you mention would be dwarfed by both their own centre halves and the opposition centre forwards in the modern game.

Generally quite shakey from the get go, distribution was poor, the mistakes a disaster but let's not kid ourselves hes a class act in between the pegs. Hes young and will learn from it. Shame it had to happen in such a big game but he will learn more from that than it happening in a run of the mill game.
