2018/19 Jordan Pickford

Oh wow.

Should be given an honourary contract for life..

Jeez

All he does is score goals.

Have said loads of times, play him and he will get you 15-20 goals. Just depends what you want to lose elsewhere in the team.

The striker issue doesn't really bother me, its players in other positions missing chances or making poor decisions that is the issue. It's not like Richarlison is missing loads of gilt edged chances.

Your so wrong.

This team desperate for a Diego Costa type forward.

We need to start a " how should Pickford be punished for thread "

All options open, including summary justice Thunder Dome style.
I'm assuming this is tongue in cheek. I've been one of his biggest critics on here but what we should do on Wednesday is what a number of people on here have said and give him the biggest cheer out of all the players and let him know he's still one of us.

Isn't every club?

You could have the best striker in the world there, if we keep shooting when we should pass or holding onto the ball too long then it wont matter.

We are a decent side but we are so wasteful when we get into good positions.

We had one of the best strikers around a few years back and we were crap.

It's ridiculous now. We had a couple of 4-0 hidings but for the most part the games have been close. For us not to have came out on top in one of them is down to both a lack of luck and the players' mentality.
The players accept it. They get that attitude from the whole of the organisation though. There seems to be something ingrained in the culture of the club to not expect too much from the derby and that a draw would be fantastic.

It's a very deep crisis in confidence that needs to be addressed, because this has gone on for far too long. It's a monkey on the back of this club and it needs addressing as a matter of urgency. We are fast becoming known around the globe as that club that cant beat Liverpool.

You can't see the wood for the trees here mate.

All that would change with the right striker

We need a pacy, and physical forward who finishes evrryother chance he gets.

Think on the lines of a Costa or kane.

Not easy to find but I'm confident brands has some in mind

I don't think mentality we are inferior with this current lot.

We are just jinxed. That is all it is.

Absolutely this. Nothing to do with mentality, simple fact is they are our 'bogey team'
The whole concept of 'bogey teams' is a weird one but it is a phenomena that definitely exists. The only consolation is that another phenomena 'the law of averages' means that ALL bogeys come to an end eventually.

Nothing special about this game Dave. We missed sitters against Arsenal and Man Utd as well. We just lack in front of goal, nothing to do with any curse. We have plenty of creators, we just need to go all out for a striker in January and if that means selling Tosun and Niasse we should do it.

We had him in Lukaku.
Need someone of a similar ilk, that can actually trap a bag of cement though.
