You can't see the wood for the trees here mate.

All that would change with the right striker

We need a pacy, and physical forward who finishes evrryother chance he gets.

Think on the lines of a Costa or kane.

Not easy to find but I'm confident brands has some in mind

But we are not creating these chances nor are we currently set up to do so.

Everyone could do with a Costa or Kane!

Don't get me wrong I would turn my nose up at a striker I just don't think its the fix all solution that some think it is. Personally I wouldn't object to seeing how DCL gets on there in the meantime. I think he gets harshly treated in many ways as he very rarely plays in a central role and he gets slated for missing chances but not many chances actually come his way.

Oh mate.

Let's persist with DCL rather than look to bring in a real finisher..

What on earth is this

*head exploded

We need a better allround footballer than what Lukaku is. United are proving that now with him.

They are out there.
Don't rewrite history here! Lukaku was clearly the best striker we've had in 30 years, he got his move to a 'big' club and his desire has gone.
If he gave a damn he would be smashing then in left, right and centre.
His finishing was right up there with the best for us.

Yes with a whole team centred around just him. Everything we did was to help him, which is fine, but bigger clubs and progressive clubs can't and wont play like that now

It'll happen again and again.

I wouldn't predict this terrible derby run ending. If it lasts another 18 games I wouldn't be surprised. It;s the most pathetic big city "rivalry" there is....and the worst thing is that it should not be happening, because Liverpool are 'kin pony and have been for years.
There must surely be a reason for it that we van identify, even a 4th division team would beat there premiership derby rivals a good few times away, why are we so cowardly and pathetic, something needs to be addressed

Except we weren't cowardly or pathetic were we? We went toe to toe with one of the best teams in the pl and matched them. Don't fall for that they're pony nonsense. They're a very good side, but they weren't better than us on Sunday. Gomes is as good as anyone they've got. A moment of madness was the difference. Hold your head up. We're on the march.

I often find your posts good and well thought out, but this is a bridge too far, Shango. DCL is not the answer.

They always think the best, we always fear the worst. Its a big part of it.

Ok I am getting annoyed now. Is nobody reading anything today.

I would play him there IN THE MEANTIME. Unless there is some boss free agent striker out there that I am unaware of? At least then we could get an idea of if that system would work as he ticks the strong and pacy boxes.

Off topic but I think Yakubu was a better STRIKER than Lukaku. Lukaku is, undoubtedly, the best SCORER we've had in eons.

Championship striker at the very best.

We need an elite level striker, would love a world level greizmann esq player but that ain't happening.
Brands will no doubt have someone in mind
