I wouldn't of been celebrating, point or not. It'd still be another derby at Klanfield that we'd failed to win. I'd smiled for about five mins, laughed at the RS then been annoyed that we'd gone another derby without a win. Sure it would've been nice to deny them a win and losing in the way we did was pure horrible but Pickford dropping that clanger was nothing more then a horrible moment that handed them two points in a early Dec fixture.
Yes it would only have been a draw, but unlike most of the drawn games we've had at Anfield it was one we had earned
and deserved, we never cowered, we created chances to win, played as much football as them, their own crowd were frustrated with their efforts and then it was grabbed out of our hands by a really stupid ridiculous error by our goalkeeper.

Sure, It was a massive gut punch but it was still only a single point in a league game in early Dec.

You know why I reckon our players struggle so badly in this fixture? Because our fans put it on a pedestal. Nobody has any perspective when it comes down to a derby. Say Pickford had saved a 95min pen, people on here would be calling him the greatest keeper to ever walk the earth! Maybe if we acted more rationally about this match we might do a little better in it and we wouldn't have to be made up with a 0-0 draw after playing half decent.

Did klopp act rationally when he ran into the centre circle? Do Liverpool treat this game like they´re playing Watford at home? Of course they don´t.

If you´re looking for why our players struggle so much in this fixture look no further than Liverpool having better players and a better big game mentality. After all fella, it´s not just Anfield that we haven´t won at for over 10 years. Throw in Arsenal and Chelsea too. Can you blame the fans for that?

Yes.

Every game we lose is solely down to the toxic fanbase, mostly the scouse rats.

Yeah that bellend went crazy. AFTER he'd won. He pretended it wasn't important before the game like Kopites always do THEN went mental.

Oh BTW I'm not saying our away derby record is all own to our fans or that they even play a big part in it but there's no getting away from the fact that we make far to much of the derby and it works againt us imo.

Liverpool having more expensive players is of course why they have done better then us over the years but it doesn't explain our miserable record againt them. Far worse teams then us have a better derby record againt far better teams then that lot.

I thought we would give them a good game, which we did, I think we played better than half decent, but it is about opinions.

Which teams are these?

In the last 20 years we have 4 wins in 80 games at Old Trafford, The Emirates, Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane. Face it, these problems run much deeper than our supporters treating the derby as a big game.
