Not being funny but those players other than Keane who is supposed to be an upgrade, not to mention all the other money spent since, all played in front of Robles.

Ashley Williams was OK to reasonable when playing in front of Robles, and Coleman was much better than he is now.

Again, same defence I front of Joel and stevklenburg if not even worse ones and they still concede at a lower rate, fact. Pickford also produces the most individual errors out be any keeper in the league, that's something you can't put on his defence

And how many of those goals can you directly attribute to being Pickford's fault? This is the misleading stats bit I was referencing was about.

Joint most. 3. Aye, I cannot.

I'm not sitting here and arguing over who the crapper of all our crap defender were. It was simply a point made that it's not all the defences fault, and despite plenty of crap defences and similar players - pickos record is the worst between all the goalkeepers.

I'm genuinely shocked anyone can look at the stats behind Pickford and do anything to try and defend him.

So all those huge numbers people post on here (that I thought were misleading), you only attribute 3 of them as being his fault?

SELL.
Of course not, they obviously don't take into consideration the amounts of goals he concedes which he could've done better with

Because stats don't tell the full picture do they. Stats tell part of it but the best way of judging a player is by their contribution and what each fan sees from a particular player.

What I see from him is an excellent shot stopper, who is one of the best in the league in that regard, great at saving penalties and is fairly young. The negatives to him are that he is too over confident with his kicking and is prone to mistakes. But find me a goalkeeper around that isn't prone to mistakes. And those keepers who do make them less often, wouldn't even entertain the idea of playing for a post 1987 Everton FC.

The stats about how many he conceded include his time for Sunderland, a team that was the laughing stock of the league and went on to suffer a double relegation. I wonder how David de Gea's stats would look if he played for that side?
