2018/19 Jordan Pickford

He needs to start commanding his area; anything within 6 yards should be his ball, Maguire missed from about a foot ( offside I know!) & why didn’t he come out to narrow angle for Vardy’s goal instead of being rooted to his line?
He needs to improve quickly!

He didn't need to gamble, just stay large and put a foot out if it went by him. His angles were all fine btw...he'd narrowed the gap Vardy had to score to its very minimum...he just tried to get a hand on it when a foot was the best bet. That's an error.

The goal might have been the major fault of Keane/Walcott, but I expect a GK to deal with that. Keane was level with Vardy and it wasn't one on one.

Keane was level with Vardy?

Its a superb finish.

It's a good finish, but looking at it again, I still think he could've done better.

I think a big floor of his is he saves worldies he has no right to save, but the bread and butter ones go past him at an alarming rate.

He is also not very good at organising his defence. Robles was much better at that and never got the credit he deserved.

Unfortunately, he was signed by a manager who ultimately failed and was hated by the time he left, from a team who was relegated. So despite his superior goals to minutes and cleansheet records, he wasn't afforded the same leeway as Pickford... who was signed by a manager who ultimately failed and was hated by the time he left, from a team who was relegated.

And for more than 10x the cost as well.

Look how close that shot is away from Pickford's clown shoes. He actually takes his feet away from just dealing with the shot and decides to dive for it with his hand instead.

This is one bad GK we have here. Decision making appalling.
